My 24 Hour Fitness Personal Trainer Sessions are paying off

This Saturday I went out for an early morning run. Temperatures were in the lower 50’s, it was sunny, and there was no wind. In my earlier postings about working out at a local 24 Hour Fitness with a personal trainer I wanted to get a feel for where I am with my training efforts. Working with a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness Lesson 3

Today I had my 3rd session with a personal trainer at my local 24 Hour Fitness. I probably scheduled these too close together since this is just the second day after my previous session. The reason I am saying this is that your body needs to balance out and get some rest after doing certain exercises. As an example after a long run you would not go out and do another long run right away, you would either do some cross-training or do a shorter, slower run. In my sessions (1, 2) with the personal trainer we have been concentrating on the core and back and some other muscle groups and I did not have enough time for cross-training or rest in between. During my session today my arms finally turned into “Jello” because we were doing just exercises that also involved the arms … a lot. [Read more...]

Working With A Personal Trainer

I just joined a local 24 Hour Fitness gym after losing access to a gym I was using before due to the economy. I was able to join under a discount program and so already attractive pricing got even better for me. Upon sign-up I was offered a special deal to get some sessions with a personal trainer. While I have worked with several people over the years, none of them was a certified personal trainer and so I took the opportunity that was offered to me. [Read more...]
