Are there Home Remedies for Psoriasis?

The most common home remedies for psoriasis come in the form of medication for mild and moderate cases. Often times, mild cases can be treated with skin creams that are designed to suppress inflammation, get rid of patches of skin that are flaky, moisturize the skin and relieve itching. These treatments include mineral oil, moisturizers, and petroleum jelly, all of which may help sooth affected skin. Ointments can be used as well to help reduce inflammation, build-up, help to clear affected skin and reduce skin turn-over. The ointment and creams include a series of different medical applications: dithranol, corticosteroids, coal tar, desoximetasone, fluocinonide, coal tar and vitamin D.
