Homemade Facials To Reduce Wrinkles

Exfoliating and moisturizing is one of the best things we can do to prevent and reduce wrinkles. While not many of us can afford luxurious spa facials, there are actually ways to make your own at home.

Make sure you have at least a half hour to devote to this activity because the masks should be left on for at least twenty minutes to obtain the full benefits of the mask.

Besides, you really don’t want to answer the door nor have the ladies in for coffee with mud or cucumber paste all over your face! Also be very careful around the eye area. Apply and rinse with caution to avoid getting anything in the eye.

A good exfoliating mask can be made by combining 3 parts kosher salt to one part olive oil into a paste. Apply gently, keep on for 15 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water. Follow the warm rinse with a cold one to close the pores.

To make a mask for sensitive skin, combine one crushed strawberry with one mashed slice of cucumber and one egg yolk. After leaving on for 15 minutes, wipe off gently with a warm wash cloth.

Some folks swear by a simple mask of crushed banana applied on a regular basis to delay the onset of wrinkles.

Many of the popular wrinkle creams contain caffeine to help rejuvenate skin, make it softer and reduce wrinkles. To make a coffee facial, combine left over coffee grounds with plain yogurt. Apply gently to the face and leave on for 15 minutes. Remove gently with warm water.

We all know how healthy a Mediterranean diet is, but did you know there is also a Mediterranean facial mask that you can make to get the same healthy results for your skin?

Simply combine crushed chick peas with a small amount of flaxseed oil and a few drops or orange or lemon juice. You can also add one drop of eucalyptus oil if desired. Combine all ingredients into a blender until creamy. Apply carefully and leave on for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water followed by a cool rinse. You can keep this mixture for a week or so in the fridge but be sure to warm it up a little before using.
