Diet Green Tea

Green Tea is always mentioned when it comes to dieting. Green tea is almost advertised as the silver bullet of dieting. Hoodia here and there – mixed with some weird Wu-Lin diet plan suggestions. But what is really going on in regards to diet and green tea? Is it all just hype or is there something true about the power of green tea? For starters – several scientific studies have shown that green tea is for sure healthy. High Cholesterol, headaches, slow metabolism are just a few health conditions that come to mind when talking about the benefit of green tea. Of course that is not where the money is being made and so the dietary benefits of green tea are pushed into the spotlight. Of course everyone has probably received SPAM emails about the best weight loss system and this stuff is annoying as hell. However, the good thing with dieting and green tea is that more studies are under way that deliver additional proof about the benefits of green tea – be it health benefits or diet benefits.

Fact is that if you drink green tea or consume green tea pills to lose weight, you also do your body’s health a big favor. In regards to the diet benefits you have to be more cautious as not every pills delivers what it promises. Green Tea Hoodia comes in several versions and the marketing stuff often puts the actual product description into the background. The only ‘proven’ weight loss of green tea comes from drinking Enviga Green Tea – sold by Nestle and Coca Cola. They developed a formula that provides additional calorie consumption of ~100 calories per 3 cans consumed. Now combine that with some discipline in regards to what you eat and add some moderate exercise and you have a real winner at your hand.

Another source of green tea is called PowerTea and apparently that provides increased calorie burn as well. Again, pills or other dieting products only produces significant results when combined with lots of exercise and moderate consumption of other food groups. If you are overweight and exercise is a pain, try at least to walk 20-30 minutes per day as daily exercise. Combine that with healthier eating and a green tea extract or diet green tea product and your weight loss should be significant. Soon you will be able to extend your daily walk exercise from 20-30 minutes to 30-45 minutes and the pounds will drop even faster.

This article will hopefully provide some good value for you. We have spent significant amounts of time to research the green tea hype and also wrote about it as a great way to enrich a high fiber diet. With everything in life keep things in perspective and use dietary products moderately. There is no silver bullet when it comes to weight loss. It takes time – especially if you not just want to lose weight, but if you also want to maintain a specific weight afterwards.
